About this artwork
The artist never works with an idea up front. He start with a painting without a plan. That’s why it is interesting to see that he makes artwork like this one. Graphic landscape. Normally his paintings are crowded with people, but not this one. Black and white mostly, lines in loose order, building a landscape. Acrylic on canvas, using tape and molding paste to achieve an image he likes. Signed at the back, ready to hang.

Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
