About this artwork
Why I come up so often with a title that has hardly anything to do with what's happening in the painting? No monkeys and no business at all. Made with different materials. All very steady mounted on canvas on an aluminium bars: no problems that the frame will warp in the future. Strong dark and light images of which you can let go your own imagination. Finished with a varnish.

Max De Winter is a dedicated Dutch artist who has exhibited his work nationally. Committed to creating visual spectacles, he rejects strict messages and theories to welcome the acts of fantasizing and imagining as his only intentions. Working within abstraction, with occasional recognizable elements, he composes paintings that are striking in their simplicity but nonetheless full of infinite contained stories.
