About this artwork
Abbey Toons #2 recreates the world's most famous pedestrian crossing: the Beatles on Abbey Road in London in August 1969, joined by a merry band of cartoon characters. I reworked the image by hand: white drips, splashes of fluorescent yellow paint, and a handmade wooden frame, painted black and speckled.
The photomontage, which I created digitally, is printed on MDF and then coated with a UV-resistant epoxy resin, giving it a glossy, deep finish.… A unique piece from the series "The Great Diversion," signed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity. Ready to hang (notched hanger on the back): 52.5 x 52.5 cm including frame, 2 cm thick, 1.46 kg.

Maxime Ledieu is a multidisciplinary artist based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. Inspired by pop art, comics, cinema, and rock music, his diverse works explore color, movement, femininity, "the solar side", as well as the antagonism between violence and innocence. Ledieu's painterly compositions are most often created with acrylics and collage on wood or cardboard. In his sculptural pieces, he favors recycled materials such as soda or beer cans.
