About this artwork
Cutting with shears and gluing aluminum soda cans of different brands... Mickey was deliberately cut out of black cans in order to stand out better among the colours. Everything was covered with epoxy resin. then polyurethane. Resin applied twice in order to have a little depth and relief. This "positive" work speaks of colors, happiness, friendship...

« By nature, I try to bring color into people's lives! »
Maxime Ledieu is a multidisciplinary artist based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. Inspired by pop art, comics, cinema, and rock music, his diverse works explore color, movement, femininity, "the solar side", as well as the antagonism between violence and innocence. Ledieu's painterly compositions are most often created with acrylics and collage on wood or cardboard. In his sculptural pieces, he favors recycled materials such as soda or beer cans.
