About this artwork
In 'Currents', I capture the invisible flow of marine energy through diagonal dynamism and a technique of material layering. My process moves away from stillness to focus on relief and physical gesture, integrating collage elements (such as nets and sediments) that break the flatness of the canvas.
Through glazes and scraping, I reveal layers of cobalt blue beneath white foams, transforming the paint into a living topography that reacts to light.… It is an exploration of the vitality of matter and the depth of its strata, inviting a leisurely observation of its tactile complexity.
