In Introspection, the human figure becomes a territory for material exploration. In this 120x80 cm work, I use a gesso base to sculpt the skin and the surrounding environment, creating a tactile surface that gives the silhouette a three-dimensional quality.
The work stands out for its distinct technical approach: while the body is constructed with the immediacy of acrylic and relief, the hair and certain deep blue accents have been rendered in… oil, allowing for a richness of nuance, luminosity, and softness that contrasts with the strength of the background.
