About this artwork
"Four Gentleman" are common motifs for traditional Chinese painting, often considered to be the characteristics that people of noble character should have. The series is my recognition of Chinese culture. I use the line drawing of Chinese painting to represent the cultural symbols of Four Gentleman as the main motif. Using calligraphy, I write poems praising the Noble Plants to highlight the theme. By adding cultural elements such as East Asian classical…
