In my latest creation, which represents parts of my art exhibition "Because what cannot be cannot be," I invite you to take a symbolic journey into the deepest aspects of being human. This collage embodies the theme "Deeply Human."
The key is at the center and at the same time appears as a protective angel whose wings enclose and strengthen the sculptures of victims of sexualized violence.
Each character tells their own story… of suffering and healing.
This key opens emotional doors and encourages us to hear the often silent cries of those affected. My goal is to touch hearts and raise awareness of the suffering and strength of those affected.
Being human means experiencing empathy and a deep connection with others. These works are intended not only to be art, but also to stimulate reflection—for a deeper understanding and connection with one another.
Melanie Meyer, a self-taught artist, dedicates her work to the intensive exploration of human experience. Her sculptures and paintings express an emotional journey and focus particularly on the issue of sexual violence against children. Her art gives a voice to those affected worldwide, breaks taboos, demands justice, and serves as a testament to suffering and resilience. Driven by the search for humanity and the exploration of human existence, she creates multifaceted art that touches and inspires reflection. She sees her works as powerful instruments to bring light into an often dark world and to remind us of the inalienable nature of our humanity. She is currently seeking sponsors who share her vision to further develop her exhibition "Because what must not be cannot be," a memorial dedicated to the victims of sexual violence.
