About this artwork
In this piece, I embrace the fluidity of abstract thought, layering acrylics to evoke both calm and energy. The interplay of shapes and colors invites a quiet curiosity, sparking introspection. It brings a sense of lightness and subtle movement, perfect to infuse any space with a gentle, uplifting ambiance.
Inspired by nature, this abstract piece evokes the quiet intimacy of walking alone through the landscape. It reflects a moment of introspection,… where solitude becomes connection, and nature reveals itself as a gentle, constant companion.

Mercè Domènech Ferret, born in Barcelona, is an interior architect turned painter, shaped by her extended stay and experiences in Cuba.
Her work is deeply influenced by the luminous landscapes she has inhabited — the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and currently the French Provence — as well as the emotional landscapes that move within her.
Her paintings, infused with Mediterranean-Caribbean warmth and vitality, radiate peace, joyful clarity, and soulful freshness.
Her work unfolds in two main directions: on one hand, abstract marine compositions that evoke the rhythm and luminosity of the sea; on the other, freer abstractions where spontaneity and inner landscapes take center stage.
