About this artwork
I am always fascinated by the view of the dunes from St. Peter Ording beach. How the weather tries to shape the dunes and the beach grass resists and protects the dunes. The light colors of the sand with the blue of the sky and the green of the oats are so harmonious; a painter could not paint it more beautifully and a poet could not describe it more beautifully.
