Resin, Epoxy on Metal
35x55in
France
Meryl uses epoxy resin, plywood, and reclaimed materials, fueled by a self-taught education after a stint in art history. His technique is rooted in the assembly, accumulation, and transformation of ordinary objects from landfills, with a strong presence of relief and standardization, inscribing his landscapes in a revisited tradition. Through his works, he creates a feeling of metaphysical emptiness, prompting reflection on the technological dehumanization of our time.
