About this artwork
This is a soft pastel drawing. I was sharing a flat. The bare floorboards and the lack of anything sophisticated was somehow attractive to me. Random scatterings of items, old tables, and my flatmates sitting around. I found the bright colours in pastels inspiring. There is no close detail of things. it was about finding little shapes and adding colour to them. But with figurative drawings I would like to capture more about their person. Pastel drawing.…

I am painter who uses oil on canvas and pastel drawings . I like colour, and imaginative compositions to reflect the unconscious impulses, and I explore culture.
I am informed by art history, religion and, philosophy, I use sketches, photos; - photos of my own and from research a sense of emotional intelligence is important and connection to lived experience.
I write poetry and songs, a book of poems is available from Lulu publishing called "The Free Warmth of Summer". I will happily send a free copy to anyone who is interested. I did one poetry performance in the 1980's.
