About this artwork
“Never Again” is done primarily in Acrylic, but the artist also utilized paint marker and pastel to create this expressive piece. The work was initially inspired by a beautiful photograph by Max Guselnikov of Russian model, Anastasiya Scheglova, but it was also influenced by the "Me Too" movement. The artist also experimented with a vibrant color palette in this piece to create an emotional impact for the viewer. This piece is ready to hang with…
a black distressed wood floater frame with paper backing (handmade by the artist). The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. This piece was exhibited at the Art Gallery at Prism, Minden, Nevada, USA (2020).

« In my eyes, the best art comes from the gut and not the mind. The more I can remove conscious thought from the creative process, the better the final work becomes! »
Michael Doering is an experienced American painter with international exposure. He seeks to create art that is as raw and expressive as possible, focusing on highlighting both visual and conceptual contrasts such as those between old and new, slow and fast, controlled and spontaneous. His compositions blur negative and positive space, merging them into a united co-existence of strength and nuance, clarity and mystery.
