Stefan Edberg is a former Swedish tennis player who topped the world rankings in both singles and doubles. He won a total of six Grand Slam titles in singles and three in doubles. I took this photo in Melbourne in 1996. Edberg was known for his elegant serve-and-volley style. The image captures his serve in all its grace, precision, and dynamism. Using hybrid techniques, I wanted to convey the energy and concentration that make this sport so fascinating.… It brings the elegance of movement and excitement into any space.
This work is printed on high-quality baryta paper, hand-signed with a date on the back, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
It is limited to 15 copies.
Prices are dynamically determined and depend on the availability of remaining copies. Other sizes and shades are available upon request.
Michael Kleiser has been a passionate photographer for over 35 years. He focuses on people, landscapes, wildlife, and narrative objects around the world. He is interested in all subjects that create mood and atmosphere and possess the potential for individual expression. A key feature of his work is often monochrome, square shots, but he doesn't allow himself to be restricted. Precise compositions characterize his works and create a visual dynamic for the viewer—images must move. His "optical observations" convey originality, background information, as well as emotionally rich experiences and stories, captured in the moment of the shutter and subsequently digitally processed. Kleiser's leisure is aptly described by "Loook": "Love of optical observations by Kleiser."
