About this artwork
Having completed many various adventures in my lifetime, I always marveled at the stories of those who took the greater risks during a time in the past when provisions for a safe return was not always guaranteed. For those sea bearing sailors who sought to traverse the northwest passage to find a shorter trip between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, I've always held in high regard. With this in mind, I offer this artwork to pay homage to adventure…
in general and the bravery of those few who had shown the will to further the advancement of knowledge of the unknown. To this end, I have put into every brushstroke, the effort in capturing the raw, vintage essence of the northern seas. The impressionistic waves and icy mountains convey a timeless struggle and beauty, inviting you to feel the thrilling energy of exploration and resilience in your space.
