About this artwork
The Burj Al Arab is Michael's favourite building in Dubai. Perched on an artificial island the luxury hotel is designed to look like the billowing sail of a J-Class racing boat. Tiger Woods has teed off from the rooftop helipad. Andre Agassi and Roger Federer have played tennis up there too!
This piece was created from an original photograph, digtally coloured and printed on a super-slim piece of brushed aluminium. This gives the piece an etched… appearance, picking up the beautiful shapes and lines. The gold sky is a nod to the lavish luxury of the hotel.
'Burj Al Arab' is made to order (the part not the building). It can usually be created and delivered in around 14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
