About this artwork
This piece is created from a photograph of the Champs Elysees taken from from the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Michael spent quite a few hours up there, mesmerized by the hypnotic colours of the hazy car lights in rush hour. Blurring them magnifies the rainbow of colours, making the image more abstract. And it emphasizes the seemingly never-ending avenue as it stretches into the distance.
The image is printed on a super-slim sheet of ultra-glossy… aluminium and floated in an black aluminium box.
