About this artwork
The Oxo Tower has on London's famous South Bank always been one of Micahel's favourite buildings in London. The landmark was originally built in the late eighteenth century and largely rebuilt to an Art Deco design in the twenties. He loves its elegant shape and the cheeky inclusion of the O-X-O letters to bypass strict advertising laws at the time!
The image of the tower is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured, and printed on… brushed aluminium. This brings out the vivid pink, contrasting it strongly with the grey concrete.
