About this artwork
This pastel, created with soft earth tones, captures the dynamic movement and energy of an Australian stockman capturing a foal. The impressionistic technique gives the scene an almost dreamlike quality, full of movement and life. This work embodies the untamed power of nature, ideal for adding a sense of adventure and rustic beauty to a room. This series is a tribute to my experiences in Australia. It was created during the German Pastel Society… symposium in Torgau. Most recently, the painting was exhibited as part of London Craft Week in The Source - Personal Shopping showroom at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, at Sinclair's European Porcelain and at the iconic Harrods department store for painting demonstrations for MEISSEN ®. It is framed together with a mount in a white frame.
Michaela Stocker is passionate about painting horses in pastels and oils. Her techniques are experimental, the focus is on the emotional bond between humans and animals. Her works of art radiate a deep connection and an almost tangible admiration for nature.
