About this artwork
Golden Sands is a seaside scene from the Ocean series, painted at sunset. It's a canvas from 2012 that I revisited in 2026. The background is painted with a brush, while the details are created with a palette knife to render the scene both naive and realistic. The atmosphere is serene and poetic, like the evenings on the Atlantic coast when the sun sets the sea ablaze.
