It is a work with a strong emotional and visual impact, deliberately distorting Christian icons, shaping the figures through the stylistic fusion typical of my work: cubism, expressionism, and comics exacerbate the concept of economic and social condemnation to which working-class life is often subjected. The skeleton represents the suffering of workers who must cope with a state of imposed and incessant poverty, where the wage limit is also an impediment… to culture and personal growth; the head, supported by a shapeless figure, at times fused with the skull, represents capitalism, and the surrounding rubble represents the irreversible damage caused by this condition. I chose dark colors and fragmented figures to exacerbate the theme. It is a deposition from the cross, where the cross signifies the painful injustice of social inequality.
The painting was created using a mixed technique: photographic suggestions, digital painting and collage
