“Slimer Ice Cream” is a sculptural work from Minseok Kang’s Ice Cream Series, inspired by Slimer, the iconic green ghost character from the film Ghostbusters. Created using leftover acrylic paint fragments and tissue scraps from the artist’s painting process, the piece features a striking combination of bright neon yellow and green textures, layered atop a vibrant, multicolored cone. The glossy, viscous surface and bold color contrasts vividly evoke… Slimer’s playful yet chaotic presence. Coated in resin and mounted on a stainless steel stand, the work merges pop-cultural nostalgia with material experimentation. “Slimer Ice Cream” humorously reimagines the ghost’s gooey form as a sculptural dessert, inviting viewers to engage with the absurd and unexpected intersections between art, cinema, and imagination.
