Mir-Hamza Efendiyev is an Azerbaijani contemporary visual artist based in Baku. Having worked primarily with oil for many years, he has increasingly turned to acrylics and mixed media, working across a variety of surfaces including canvas, paper, cardboard and wood panels.
Having lived in Europe for approximately two decades, Efendiyev developed an artistic trajectory shaped by both Azerbaijani and European cultural environments. His first European solo exhibition was held at Galerie Fayla in Brussels in 2004.
In 2026, his solo exhibition LOFT was presented at the Center of Contemporary Art in Baku, reflecting the continuing evolution of his practice towards a more reduced and spatial visual language.His work is held in private collections in the United States, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia Greece and other. Mir-Hamza Efendiyev is a member of The Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and The International Association of Art (IAA).
