About this artwork
The jester is a work with two faces, based on a friend who had the ability to bring total joy or pain to whoever he took an interest in, he was inside this piece of wood,, carved from a single piece of fossilized bog wood, that I spent a day digging out of a field, with the friend who it became,
As hard as granite and a color that comes only when it has been buried for 10 thousand years, a mystical wood that has wonderful properties and is a… pleasure to work, that is why I always return to it,

« Great energy is needed to make your mark and leave a message in the art world, but do not be too focused on gaining recognition, as it can be a false idol. »
Mista Fig is an experienced British sculptor who has exhibited his work internationally. He discovered a passion for art as a young boy, when he would take off-cuts of wood from his grandfather—a coal miner—and turn them into fruits of his imagination. Seeking always to create with passion and freedom, he constructs primarily figurative sculptures that tell stories across a range of themes.
