Our work is inspired by everyday motifs such as cats and vases. By simplifying familiar forms and reducing them to essential shapes and relationships, we seek to create images that resonate with the viewer’s own memories and perceptions.

To support this approach, we work collaboratively as sisters. Rather than fixing a work to a single viewpoint or intention, we incorporate indirect processes, including hand-drawn films and lithographic tusche. These methods help us move beyond purely personal expression and focus on the structures, rhythms, and relationships within our subjects.

Although many of our motifs appear still, we are interested in the movement and flow that exist within them. Through line, color, and negative space, we attempt to reveal invisible rhythms and subtle presences.

Through hand-pulled screen printing, the tactile qualities of paper and the nuances of craftsmanship become an integral part of each work.
