About this artwork
When I painted Transformation, I wanted to capture more than the beauty of a dragonfly. To me, it represents the moment when change becomes visible, the quiet emergence of something that has been taking shape for a long time.
Its delicate wings catch the light, while its vibrant body reflects strength and determination. I was fascinated by this contrast: a creature that appears fragile, yet possesses incredible resilience and precision.
Using acrylic,… rich textures, and touches of silver, I wanted the surface to interact with light, allowing the dragonfly to shimmer and almost lift from the canvas. For me, it is a reminder that transformation is not about becoming someone else; it is about revealing who we have been all along.
