About this artwork
I saw him in real life, standing at the corner of the factory like he owned it. He was talking fast and with conviction, explaining something that clearly mattered – his shoulders were leaning in, his whole body was listening as much as speaking. In his big, work-worn hand, the little phone almost disappeared.
While I watched, it felt like his figure was being built into the building itself: part man, part structure, anchored in routine. But in… my mind's eye, another image kept surfacing inside him — his home, a simple house — because the way he spoke carried that place here. The Call Carries Home is about that double presence: being at work, but feeling like you're somewhere else.
