About this artwork
Nature- Near and far series - no 25
Acrylic on wood - framed - 40.5 x 50.5 cm
In this painting, I captured a dynamic landscape that dances between reality and abstraction. I used palette knives to create a broad, expressive scene, and a bold color palette to evoke the raw beauty and dramatic contrasts of nature. This piece embodies the tension and harmony found in the natural world, inviting viewers to ponder the delicate balance of our surroundings.… I hope it brings a sense of energy and contemplation to any space it graces.

« Art appreciation is truly in the eyes of the beholder. When my work touches someone's soul, then I have truly accomplished my goal. »
Monique J Dufour is a Canadian self-taught artist based in Spain, who has exhibited her work throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Whilst on a trip to France in 2013, she picked up a paintbrush and never looked back, now busying herself daily with her luminous, intriguing abstract compositions. Dufour is guided by divine energy and the thrill of creativity, and seeks primarily to move others through her artistic practice.
