This installation features bathers, moving together in a common movement, caught in an invisible current.
The sandstone heads, wearing swimming caps and goggles, seem to emerge from an aerial water surface.
They tell of rising waters, the fragility of life, and human passivity in the face of ecological upheavals.
Both poetic and disturbing, the work plays on repetition and anonymity to evoke the loss of individuality in a submerged world. It… tells the story of both the individual and the collective.
Each face becomes a silent witness, on the border between reality and metaphor, between immersion and erasure.
