About this artwork
This painting is a rework of an older one that I painted over 10 years ago. The original painting was done with the Daniel Smith Art Supplies' Primatek watercolor paints. I decided to continue with this idea using only the Primatek paints. Hence, "Abstract Minerals" was born. The yellow is the only paint that is not from the Primatek series as there is no yellow as of yet. The other colors used were Garnet Genuine, Bronzite Genuine, Natural Sleeping… Beauty Turquoise Genuine, and Natural Amazonite Genuine. You can learn more about the Primatek paints from the Daniel Smith website.
Nancy Riedell, a watercolor artist with an inherited artistic legacy, employs premium materials to render nature's intricacies. She pushes watercolors beyond conventional boundaries, favoring a style that's audacious and vivid, capturing her subjects with an intimate and curious eye. Riedell's works are an homage to beauty, imbuing observers with serene joy and a renewed appreciation for the subtle marvels of the natural world.
