This painting refers to the evolution of civilization and the impact of this evolution on nature, the Anthropocene.
On the left of the work, a tree stretches toward the sky with its many connections and roots. The sky is dark, devoid of any light. Only the stars, illustrated by gold leaves, can be seen. This tree refers to the tree of life, long illustrated by artists.
As time passes, buildings begin to emerge, their light flooding the sky, and… the sky brightens. The buildings become taller and more imposing, while the roots of the trees struggle to emerge from the ground, inviting the viewer to reflect on the balance between technological progress and respect for the environment. This painting will bring a touch of reflection and modern energy to any living space.
