About this artwork
I wanted to create a parallel between current society and the Amazon, it is the river with the highest flow in the world and a hydrographic network of more than 1000 rivers that extend over a huge area of the continent from South America.
Thus these circuits, these flows symbolize a world population which lives a thousand per hour. Access to information is so fast and simple with the internet that everything is connected and must go quickly.
… The artist also wanted to tell the life of populations close to the Amazon through this canvas, because it is a work of patience, just like these tribes who live at the same rate as nature, isolated from the rest of the world. They are in harmony with their environment and perpetuate their traditions. There are therefore several reading speeds that intersect and depict the world in which we live, water being the common thread.
