Fault Line is a black-and-white paper collage portrait that explores emotional fracture as a subtle internal shift rather than an outward collapse.
Constructed from sharply cut photographic fragments arranged in angular planes, the face appears layered and slightly displaced. The composition draws on cubist spatial disruption, transforming the portrait into a psychological terrain where different emotional states intersect.
The overlapping expressions… and traces of tears suggest accumulated tension — a quiet pressure beneath the surface. Like a geological fault, the rupture is not always visible, yet it reshapes the structure from within.
As part of The Fragmented Human, Fault Line reflects on the fragile continuity of identity and the invisible lines along which emotion transforms the self.

Natalia Kazirelova is an artist based in Greece whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Austria and Russia. Through her art, she seeks to portray beyond what is visible, with the help of other tactile sensations. Kazirelova's favorite topic is ancient Greek mythology through the lens of a modern philosophical interpretation. Her figurative compositions, abstractions, and landscapes are created using acrylics and collage on canvas.
