About this artwork
At first glance, there is tenderness. But look closer, and these peonies reveal a strong, confident character.
Each bud holds a breath before something begins. It is the moment before movement, before an event, before life unfolds. Though not yet in full bloom, the flowers already carry both softness and strength.…
I was drawn to this contrast, to the way delicate petals can create such a powerful presence. The forms unfold gradually, with each layer revealing another subtle change in shape, color, and light.
This floral artwork is an invitation to look a little longer. What first appears soft and delicate may reveal something deeper with time.

Working in a single layer on wet paper, she has only a short moment before it dries to build the volume, light and atmosphere of the painting, leaving the first impulse largely untouched.
“Stepping away from expectations that are imposed on us, especially the ones we do not even notice we are already living by. Working in a single layer does not forgive mistakes. It reminds me of life: there is no second attempt, and you have to trust the process while still keeping your own direction.”
Through light falling across the flowers, Gzoim creates an atmosphere of freedom and harmony.
“I want the viewer to feel inner calm, and to feel who they truly are, free from the thoughts and expectations that so often shape us.”
