About this artwork
"INDIAN SUMMER" is the first work from the UPCYCLING series. Instead of throwing away leftovers, the artist had the idea of creating new works from them. Thus, it not only contributes to sustainability, but in turn creates beauty that has its very own character.
By limiting certain materials and a selection of things that should bring them to life, a whole new level of creativity was required. However, the artist gladly accepted this challenge… and created a two-piece piece made of wooden panels, scraps of canvas from previous acrylic paintings, some resin and glitter.
The lower third of both pictures is completely covered with resin. the edge is formed by a strip of gold leaf.
With its partly pastel and partly strong colors, it is reminiscent of the colorful Indian summer.
« I see my painting process as healing my own soul through the liberation from convention and limitation. The end product heals and releases other souls. »
