About this artwork
This minimalist work is based on internalized childhood memories. The stormy spring sky, the scent of damp earth and fresh grass form the basis of visual perception. The composition is built around internal turbulence as a formative structure, where the renewal of spring manifests through the instability and unresolved nature of transition, intertwining with traces of childhood bodily memories and internal emotional landscapes.
Nataliia Zevaikina, a Ukrainian painter trained in architecture and living in France, primarily explores oil painting as a language of expression. She favors minimalism, flat colors, layered textures, monochrome, and complementary contrasts, anchoring her style in metamodernism and contemporary symbolism. Through her emotional landscapes, she invites us to feel liminality, the subtle balance between dream and reality, silence and movement—offering an experience of inner resonance, freedom, and poetic contemplation.
