About this artwork
In both.
Two figures, one inside the other, surrounded by black.
The light emerges from the raw canvas background in contrast with the black acrylic.
Like twins,
These works are produced in series.
The advantage of these works is that they are born of pure movement. The line is clear and the emotion that emerges belongs only to the moment; nothing can be changed during the creation.
It's a product of the moment. It's make or break.

« A Dutch client once taught me that NEP means false in Dutch. I find it meaningful because I like this absurd and uninhibited side in my work »
NEP is an experienced French painter with national and international exposure. Driven by the feeling that his work is an endless inner journey, he conveys his dreams and anxieties in each composition, usually unconsciously. Painting in a neo-expressionist style, he achieves an aesthetic that displays the influence of children's drawings and ultimately presents a chaotic yet rich visual journey.
