About this artwork
Beneath the spiraling sun, which could have come from a van Gogh painting, an old, gnarled tree stands on a rocky base, concealing a mysterious blue treasure in its hollow. I wanted to show the ephemeral beauty of the Mediterranean and explore the magic inherent in seemingly decaying things. And so, little by little, the boundary between dream and reality blurs.
