Nina Weiss is an established American painter whose works have been exhibited in both solo and group shows throughout the US. After moving from east coast suburbia to the vast Midwestern landscape, Weiss fell in love with the distance, forms, and color of the space. Her artistic practice is inspired by her travel in the Midwest and beyond, and her oil paintings explore landscape while merging traditional technique with more abstract interpretations. Weiss builds the paint up over a colored ground using gestural marks, line, and tone, creating vistas that really capture a sense of place.
