About this artwork
“Bayram” is a triptych composed of three paintings united by a common festive theme.
“Maskharaboz” (left panel) depicts a playful figure dressed as a rider on a toy horse, bringing humor and joy. The contrast of warm and cool colors enhances the celebratory mood.
“Katta Ashula” (center panel) captures the performance of a traditional folk song sung without instrumental accompaniment. The singers use a simple plate to shape the vocal timbre, while… the cool blue and turquoise palette evokes a sense of lightness and uplift.
“Kurash” (right panel) presents the energy of traditional belt wrestling. The tension and movement of the contest are expressed through the contrast of vivid cool and warm tones.
All three works are executed in an Art Nouveau style with geometric decorative planes, conveying the atmosphere of celebration.
Nodir Shoabduraximov is a Tashkent-based painter with rigorous academic training, working primarily in figurative painting. His practice explores a quiet dialogue between the inner self and the surrounding world, uniting precise draftsmanship with expressive, nuanced color.
Drawing from both Eastern principles of harmony and Western painterly traditions, Nodir creates compositions marked by balance, restraint, and a strong sense of inner presence. His works radiate a calm yet profound emotional resonance, where symbolism and form invite contemplation.
Through his paintings, the artist encourages viewers to slow down and engage with moments of intimacy shaped by light, memory, and silence.
