About this artwork
The painting is based on a biblical theme. After breaking the prohibition, Adam and Eve were expelled from Paradise. The work captures the moment of their descent to earth, while offering the artist’s own interpretation.
Adam and Eve enter a world already full of life: people live, love and hate, are born and die, form families, raise children, build homes, and pursue an ordinary human existence.
The painting is executed in a decorative, planar… manner in the Art Nouveau style, with references to mosaic technique yet rendered through softer planes. The color composition is built on a contrast of warm and cool tones. A substantial part of the composition is occupied by the sky - a suggestion that Paradise lies somewhere beyond. Yet on earth, too, a person can create a small, intimate space that recalls where we came from and what we may aspire to once again.
Nodir Shoabduraximov is a Tashkent-based painter with rigorous academic training, working primarily in figurative painting. His practice explores a quiet dialogue between the inner self and the surrounding world, uniting precise draftsmanship with expressive, nuanced color.
Drawing from both Eastern principles of harmony and Western painterly traditions, Nodir creates compositions marked by balance, restraint, and a strong sense of inner presence. His works radiate a calm yet profound emotional resonance, where symbolism and form invite contemplation.
Through his paintings, the artist encourages viewers to slow down and engage with moments of intimacy shaped by light, memory, and silence.
