About this artwork
In this work, I have combined analog and digital photographic processes into a focused study of light and perception.
The photograph almost completely detaches itself from representational subject matter and condenses into a quiet, central color space. A bright, soft glow emerges from the darkness and is surrounded by warm, restrained color fringes.
A tension arises between presence and dissolution – a moment in which the visible just appears… and simultaneously withdraws again.
The pigment print was produced on Hahnemühle German Etching paper and finished with a hand-torn edge (deck edge).

My photographs are an attempt to pay homage to the beauty of nature – not in its outward form, but in its fleeting, often barely perceptible expression. I frequently work with very old lenses adapted to modern cameras. This deliberate combination of historical optics and contemporary technology decisively shapes my visual language.
Blurring, layering, light artifacts, and digital manipulation are integral parts of my artistic process. The works originate from real photographic moments and only coalesce into independent pictorial spaces during the editing process.
This results in works that lie between photography and imagination, which do not so much describe the world as invite the viewer to their own perception and to pause for reflection.
