About this artwork
The work "Alter ego", represents a transposition of the modern man into a character by which he reveals a hidden spiritual state, marked by a religious philosophy as a way of artistic expression.
The sculpture is made of molten Bronze with the help of the welding device in a protective gas environment, the artist thus managing to create an expressive organic structure, which he later modeled by direct cutting giving it the shape of a human profile,… which, influenced by the phrase "The eye is the mirror of the soul", decides as a center of interest, to place a figurative element in the form of an eye made of stainless steel by direct welding on the organic structure thus created. This results in a human figure with an extraordinary force of expression. The work is mounted on a stainless steel support that gives it a higher level of elevation.

« I am constantly questioning the most unexpected forms and formulas with surprising sculptures; each one an incentive for imagination, for emotion, and, possibly, dialogue. »
Nueleanu Bogdan is a prizewinning Romanian sculptor with international exposure. Attracted by the chromatic valences it possesses, Bogdan works primarily with bronze sometimes welding it with other metals like stainless steel. His sculptures are futuristic, post-apocalyptic structures that seem to have been plucked out of a different dimension.
