About this artwork
This original marble sculpture on an andesite base is a recent work by the contemporary Bulgarian sculptor Ognyan Chitakov, in which structure itself becomes the central language. Built from a precise yet seemingly fragmented arrangement of geometric volumes, the piece evokes a condensed architectural form, somewhere between an architectural construction and an imagined monument. displaced, creating a rhythm. Across this ordered system, vivid yellow pigment descends in controlled drips, introducing an element of gravity and time, as if the structure is being activated and transformed by an external force. It suggests a conscious deconstruction, a meditation on how form can be both stable and vulnerable, rational and poetic. The contrast between the permanence of marble and the fluidity of the yellow liquid traces creates a dialogue between intention and nature.
