About this artwork
Light is coming, Recreation (2026) is part of my Light is coming series, a cycle exploring love, compassion, hope and the possibility of human transformation.
The painting is inspired by Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam from the Sistine Chapel, but approaches the iconic image through a contemporary idea of human evolution. The original Renaissance image represents the creation of man; in my work, this moment becomes a metaphor for the possibility… of creating a new human being.
By bringing together Michelangelo’s vision of creation, Nietzsche’s idea of human transformation and the Buddhist symbol of peace and compassion, the work reflects my belief that humanity is capable of creating a new stage of its existence.
