At first glance, it is a study in composition: symmetry fractured by movement, chiaroscuro in perfect tension.
But beneath that formal precision lies something humanly fragile.
The figures are neither approaching nor escaping the light.
They are simply passing through it, suspended in that brief geometry where presence becomes… silhouette and meaning detaches from identity.
To the critical eye, “The Passage” is about the choreography of impermanence.
The street, old and worn, outlives its walkers.
Yet in this moment, it borrows their shadows, carrying their existence a few feet further than time allows.
The piece reminds us that we all, in essence, are temporary imprints on enduring walls, defined not by who we are, but by how the light finds us as we move.
