About this artwork
I am Freeon in his primal state, in that instant where the paint ceases to obey and begins to hunt. ARYK & LUNOR is born from the most instinctive part of my brushstroke, from FREEON. That more expressionistic side of Onofre Alarcón where there is no filter, only impulse. Here I don't represent figures: I construct presences.
Aryk and Lunor are the first paleohunters. Not as a title, but as a condition. Two entities that confront and recognize… each other simultaneously. They don't hunt flesh, they hunt identity. Their overflowing eyes, their fragmented profiles, and their violent colors speak of a communication predating language, almost primal, yet projected toward the future. There is tension, there is humor, there is rawness... and also a strange affection. Color doesn't decorate, it attacks. Electric greens, fiery reds, and deep blues clash as if they were contested territories. Black lines sustain the chaos, like the structural bones of a creature still forming.
Onofre Alarcón is a self-taught painter, decorator, and graphic designer who uses mixed media and oil paints, with a professional approach and international reach. His techniques combine expressive gestures, materials, and color, fusing expressionism with seascapes, cave art, and abstraction under various signatures, thus forging a highly personal visual language. Each of his pieces exudes intensity and vitality, inviting the viewer to experience multisensory emotions that transcend the purely visual.
