About this artwork
In “Lighthouse in the Mediterranean,” I explore a maritime scene where I seek to unite the energy of gesture with a poetic dimension. The lighthouse appears as a symbol of orientation and memory, standing firm against a sea constructed with intense layers of deep blues, turquoises, and greens.
This work is part of my vertical seascape collection, “Memories of the Sea,” where I explore the sea as a space of remembrance and emotion. Living near the… Mediterranean profoundly influences my painting: its light and rhythm are reflected in every stroke. The sky unfolds with free gestures and warm tones, while the birds expand the sense of space. I am interested in the textures and traces that connect the visible with the profound. I seek to balance figuration and abstraction to connect with the viewer through the senses, evoking light, movement, and atmosphere.
