About this artwork
This series entitled "Innatura" opens up to a very personal vision of my inner vision of landscapes that can be real, but often imaginary.
Here the sandpaper dots take on a perceptive value in the construction of the image, now inspired by the Masters of the 20th century, such as the Pointillists, in an attempt to merge genres (figurative and abstract), now inspired by nature, taking as a reference the memory of the landscape itself. The pictorial… effect and the three-dimensionality of the collage do the rest.

Oscar Baccilieri, born in 1965 in Reggio Emilia, develops artistically through different media such as canvas, cashmere, beeswax, marble, blotting paper, and copper, transforming the material into an intense exercise of creativity and aesthetics. He works with an enigmatic, playful and ludic aesthetic, using collage, watercolor, and acid painting techniques, mixing figurative and abstract aspects in his works. With his works, Baccilieri reveals a world rich in interpretation and meaning, inviting the viewer to look with curiosity and to reflect on our daily reality.
