About this artwork
The painting is inspired by the artist's series “A baby that will grow up on its own” and the “Leiza” series. The artist gave this piece a very personal style, shape and character, working with very characteristic elements of the author such as; color, heart and shape, drawing inspiration from children's art, "African Primitive" art and pre-Hispanic cultures.

Pablo Benlliure is a painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Mexico whose main artistic themes are inspired by the art of African and pre-Hispanic cultures, which he views as sincere and pure. In addition, Benlliure combines elements of naive art to form his own genre, which he calls "Afroprehispánico lúdico". He hopes that the combination of these elements, paired with vibrant colors, will elicit joy in the viewer.
